Studio Policies
Payment Information:
Lessons are $22 per half hour, or half of the class period, as set by Richardson ISD. Students who receive scholarship from their band programs will have the cost adjusted accordingly.
Lessons will be billed for the school year, and divided into equal monthly payments. For example, if there are 30 lessons for the school year at $22 each, would be $660 total, divided by nine months for $73.33 per month. June-August are billed separately. If the scheduled number of lessons are not met by the end of the school year, a credit will be applied. Any additional lessons for the term will be charged to the first invoice of the next term.
Invoices will be sent seven days before the first of the month, and will be due on the 1st of the month. If payment is not received, or other arrangements are not made, lessons will be suspended beginning on the 7th of the month. Lessons will resume once payment is received, or other arrangements are made.
Online payment through Stripe, with ACH bank transfer is preferred (directions to update payment method). Other accepted forms of payment include card, check, cash, or P2P (Zelle, Venmo, etc.). Auto-pay is available through the website for those interested, and will be charged when the invoice is sent.
Attendance:
Lessons generally occur weekly and are thirty minutes. Hour-long lessons are available as well, for beginners that would likely be split into two 30-minute lessons weekly.
Many students will have lessons during their band class, however many students will need to have lessons before or after school due to my schedule. Lessons will occur at the student’s home campus (except for sixth-grade students).
24-hour notice for a lesson cancellation is required, except in the case of illness, emergency, or unplanned school-related conflict. Lessons missed for any other reason, will still be charged, and will be made up depending on my availability. Lesson dates, times, and locations, will be included on each monthly invoice.

Every family should create a sign in through my website, cdurhamtuba.mymusicstaff.com. The website shows scheduled lessons, invoices due, and materials that will be helpful for each student.
Note: I know things will come up, and there will be times where the schedule changes at the last minute, or I do not account for a particular event. I will communicate to the best of my ability when I will need to miss or reschedule a lesson, so please let me know if something comes up for your child.
